After only 8 months of trading DWilkinson&Company is continuing to go from strength to strength with the practice having merged with Rochdale based accountants, Lord & Co.

The new firm, which will be called 'DWilkinson&Company incorporating Lord & Co', establishes a Lancashire presence for DWilkinson&Company who already have offices in Leeds and Ilkley.

Mark Silver, owner of Lord & Co, will be working along side Daniel Wilkinson over the coming weeks to assist with the handover of clients and will continue to work with the practice's clients over the next 12 months. The Lord & Co employees are also being retained to continue the great service they provide to their existing clients, and they will also be involved in working with new clients who move across to the practice.

The merger with DWilkinson&Company forms part of Mark's retirement plans. Having run Lord & Co for 40 years, Mark has built up a very successful practice which provides tax and accounting services for a broad range of companies and sole traders in Rochdale and further afield.

Speaking about his latest business venture, Dan Wilkinson, founder of DWilkinson&Company said, “I'm very excited about our merger with Mark and the team at Lord & Co. Our client base is spread across west Yorkshire and into Lancashire and the tie-up with Lord & Co now provides a base from where we can service and grow our Lancashire based clients.”

Daniel goes on to say, “Having only started DWilkinson&Company in April, it's been a fantastic year so far. We have attracted many new clients over the past few months, as well as servicing our long-standing clients and it's been great to help so many business owners in the area. The team at DWilkinson&Company have been fantastic at helping to get the new practice up and running and to provide the first class level of service that our clients deserve. I have no doubt our new Lord & Co clients will soon reap the benefits of what DWilkinson&Company have to offer, which will build on the terrific service they have previously received from the team at Lord & Co.”

The merger between DWilkinson&Company and Lord & Co took place at the beginning of December.
